Quality Used Books
The Friends of Santa Clarita Library has bookstores in every branch of the SCV’s public libraries. These boutique little shops offer thousands of quality used books at amazing prices. All proceeds go directly back into the Public Library system so that others can enjoy the amenities of the libraries.
Besides books (in hardcover and paperback) our bookstores also offer Blu-Ray DVDs, Music CDs, Audiobook CDs and more! Simply come in, take your selection to the service desk at the front of the library and purchase!

Accepted Items
Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library are grateful for donations, that are in good condition, of the following items:
- Books
- Children’s books
- Audiobooks
- DVDs
- CDs
Items Not Accepted
Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library do not accept the following items:
- VHS videocassettes
- Audiobooks on cassette
- Music on cassette
- Magazines
- Encyclopedia Sets
- School textbooks, reference books, and medical and technology books with a publishing date prior to the year 2019
- Large sets (Time-Life)

Donations accepted at each of the three Branches: Valencia, Old Town Newhall and Canyon Country.
Donation Days: Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm. Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
Bookstore volunteers sort and prepare material to be sold in the Friends of the Library bookstores located at each Santa Clarita Public Library. 100% of bookstore proceeds go directly to the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library who support the library with needed resources and sponsor library programs and special events.
